Be Still

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

The temptation to busy ourselves with things of this world is great. Usually, it's with the purest intentions. We're not trying to tell God how to be God, but we'll "help him out a little." You know, running ourselves ragged with work to push us to the next level career wise or in other aspects of life. When our lives become so busy that we're neglecting or shortening our time with God, it's time to reevaluate. Be still. Rest in Him. Happy Thursday!

  1. This is so true. For me personally I try my best to spend time with God but some days work gets the best of me with all of the traveling and running wild. It's like I tell myself that I should spend more time in God's presence but it doesn't happen as often and it ought to. Pray for me.

    1. That's totally understandable! Life can get so hectic that it's easy to put off spending quality time with God. However, when we press into His presence, he fills us up with the energy, drive, passion to keep going in other areas of life. Also finding ways to incorporate him throughout the day, like listening to worship music or sermons in the car or praying when you have a free moment is helpful for me. You're definitely in my prayers. Thanks for reading! :)
